FIBC

What is an FIBC bulk bag?

Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers also known as FIBC bulk bags are flexible, durable containers designed to deal with an adaptable catalogue of materials. From fine grains, chemical, and minerals to pharmaceutical elements and concentrated fluids, FIBCs answer the demand of industries that need more than bulky boxes and tank vehicles that might not suit precision or small load needs. The bags allow simpler, more mouldable storage and convenient loading and unloading without having to engineer a brand-new solution with every vendor.

We have a superb partner based in India who works to the highest of standards. We are very proud suppliers of this product.

Considerations

  • Consider the type of item you are packaging.
  • Do you require a way of discharging the item?
  • What is the weight and volume of the product that you need to transport?
  • What will you be filling the bag with?
  • Do you need discharge capabilities?
  • Do you require the bag for single use or multi use?
  • Does the bag need to be food grade?
  • Does the bag require inside or outside coating?
  • Do you require the bag to be sift proof?
  • Is the product classified as dangerous or hazardous?
  • Does the bag require certification?

there are a range of different types of FIBCs and can be used for a wide range of purposes. Due to these individual requirements the bags can generally carry between 50kg and 2000kg of weight. The stronger the fabric the more weight it will be able to withstand. Our FIBCs are rigorously tested with a test and certification number.

We also supply customers who deal with hazardous materials. We can supply UN certified bulk bags to meet your specification.

Food Grade Bulk Bags

We also supply FIBCs that are suitable for pharmaceutical products and food products. Our bags have the required certification and are mean in clean and sterile environments to prevent any contamination.

The safety factor (SF) of a bag is a ratio, typically 5:1 or 6:1. A safety factor of 5:1 indicates a single- use bag, and an SF of 6:1 indicates a multiple-use bag, or sometimes a HAZMAT bag. A single-use bag is just that — a bag designed for one use — whereas a multiple-use bag can handle repeated loads, though you should always inspect your bag carefully between loads to make sure it has not sustained too much wear and tear.
